30 HOURS FUNDED CHILDCARE

You will no doubt have heard that the Government will soon be offering 30 hours funded childcare. We are pleased to support the scheme and are here to answer any questions you may have about the best way to fund childcare for your little one.

Currently all 3 and 4 year olds can access 15 hours of government funded childcare a week for 38 weeks of the year. From September 2017, the government is doubling this offer for working parents to 30 hours a week, for 38 weeks, a total of 1140 hours a year, subject to eligibility and availability.

Lets Inspire - Inspire Children will offer funded 30 hour places from September for families who meet the eligibility criteria.

Is this for you?

Briefly, to be eligible, you, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you’re unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.

You can’t receive 30 hours childcare if you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 or more.

How do I apply?

To access the funding you must check your eligibility on the government website GOV.UK and apply online, further information is available by following this link.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/30-hours-free-childcare-eligibility

If you’re eligible, you’ll receive a code – this will allow you to arrange your childcare place for September 2017. Take your code to your Children 1st nursery, along with your National Insurance number and your child’s date of birth. Children 1st will check the code is authentic and allocate your child a funded childcare place, subject to availability.

If you have any further questions, please contact us on 0800 772 0229

FAQ

Can you book it for me over the phone?

All bookings need to be made online by the customer, however in extreme circumstances we are able to help by taking the booking and payment over the phone.

How do I know if you have available spaces?

You can look at availability on our website and/or on your account.

Do I have to book the whole week/month/term?

The system is very flexible and (subject to availability) you can book for individual sessions or for the whole of the School Year.

Can I pay by cash/cheque/bank transfer/PayPal?

Yes we are able to accept any of the above methods of payment.

Cash: Cash payments can be made directly to the team when you drop off or collect your children.

Cheque: we do accept cheque however please note there us an additional charge for returned cheques.

Bank Transfer: Details will be provided to you upon request.

Paypal: details will be provided to you on request.

please note payments are expected on a weekly basis and could incur a late fee charge

Can I book and you invoice me for the sessions later?

You will need to pay for the sessions as you book them otherwise they will be deleted automatically by the system. However you can organise a card/CCV instalment plan if the booking spans more than 2 months.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

If you are wanting to cancel with 14 days’ notice then you are able cancel this yourself via your account and receive a credit on your account. However if you are wanting to cancel with less notice then you will need to request your children to be marked off by us in Head Office and we will not be able to give you credit for the sessions.

When are the next academic years’ sessions available to book?

They will be available Spring 2021, we will again be offering a preferential booking period for our existing customers.

Can I pay by CCV?

Yes you can, just add your provider name and the amount you would like to pay. If it is for bookings that span over 2 months or more you will be able to pay monthly with your child care vouchers. But please don’t forget to arrange payment through the provider – using your booking reference and child’s name as the payment ref.

Can I pay with both Cards and Childcare Vouchers?

You are able to do part payments with your CCV and credit/debit card.

What shall I do if someone else is collecting my child?

Your child will not be able to leave with anyone that is not listed on your account as a collector. You can add in people by logging in to your account and selecting my children and collector. Don’t forget to save this and add the person for each of your children.
